We are a charity and social enterprise, providing services that create opportunities for disabled people to live the lifestyle of their choosing.

Established in 1937, we have been providing quality services for over 80 years. As a Disability Confident Leader, we celebrate and promote diversity at every level of our organisation. We are committed to the development of new services where there is a need, and where we believe we have the ability and resources to meet that need.

Our Vision is to empower disabled people to live the lifestyle of their choosing, through our training, preparation, and other living skills.

Our Aim is to provide a range of high quality services that support disabled people, such as residential care, home care, and more.

Our core principles are important to us. We provide an excellent service for the disabled people we work for, driven by their needs and wishes.

Disability Action Yorkshire We deliver a wide range of programmes, qualifications, and training, bespoke to the individual. We are also ASDAN accredited which is an awarding body, offering qualifications that explicitly grow skills for learning, life and employment.We believe that everyone has the right to work and know that gaining paid employment can be difficult for some disabled people. Our Training Service offers development in all the skills required to gain paid employment or life skills. We don’t just leave you after the training programme – we can continue to provide support in achieving your aspirations whether that be in the workplace or life in general. Even when you feel you no longer need our support, we are still here for you.
