Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity
Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity Raising money to do more for patients and their families
We fund specialist equipment, training and services, going above and beyond the provision of the NHS to help improve treatment and facilities for all departments and services at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.
Like the vast majority of the NHS, HDFT is under financial pressure and the funding for the nicer ‘extras’ or more significant investment in new pieces of equipment is not always available. That’s where, with your support, Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity can help.
Where your money goes 720,000 people live in the catchment area for the hospital’s acute services. 2,500,000 people in our catchment area for community services. 85p for every pound donated is intended for specialist equipment, training and services.
If you would like to get involved and support your local NHS please contact us today! – Email: hdft.hhcc@nhs.net or Call: 01423 557408
Volunteer
Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity (HHCC) and Volunteer Team improve treatment, facilities, the patient environment and experience going above and beyond the provision of the NHS. One way this is achieved is through the fantastic support of our volunteers.
Volunteers give their time for free, which is invaluable and you could join our amazing and dynamic team, giving your time to help and support Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT).
Volunteers play a vital role in the everyday operation of the hospital such as raising money for HHCC, supporting big events, undertaking administrative tasks, helping people to find their way around the hospital, supporting the chaplaincy, cancer services, outpatient clinics and improving the atmosphere in public areas.
Volunteering can make a difference to anyone, irrespective of age. It can provide opportunities to gain experience and develop skills. It also offers older people the opportunity to get out of the house, meet new people and go some way towards tackling the problem of loneliness and isolation.
Whether you want to volunteer at Harrogate District Hospital, in one of our community locations or be a Volunteer driver, everyone can make a difference; by becoming part of the HDFT volunteer community. We cover a huge geographical area with services from Selby to Northumberland.
You absolutely can make a huge difference to our patients, staff and their families.
