MALCOLM RATHMELL SPORT LTD was founded in January 1991, marking the inception of a thriving wholesale mail-order business specializing in off-road trials motorcycles, accessories, and spare parts. This close-knit family enterprise is overseen by Malcolm, Rhoda, and Martin Rathmell, with their daughter Carly also contributing to the company’s success. Operating through an extensive dealer network spanning England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, they have cultivated strong relationships with their partners.

Notably, Malcolm Rathmell, a seasoned champion himself, achieved remarkable feats in the world of off-road trials. He secured the Trans America title in 1974, later renamed the World Championship, and clinched the British Trials Championship six times between 1971-81. He boasts an impressive record of six Scott Trial victories and two Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) triumphs. After retiring from his competitive career, Malcolm and Rhoda managed a highly successful hotel in Grassington from 1982 to 1989 before reentering the sport they are so passionate about.

Malcolm’s reputation opened doors to valuable connections, which enabled them to source the finest products. Their journey began by importing Aprilia trials bikes in 1991, followed by taking on Scorpa from 1994 to 1999. Currently, they hold the prestigious title of being the exclusive UK Sole Importers for Bultaco, which later transformed into Sherco, a Spanish-built trials and enduro bike brand. Additionally, they serve as the importers for a wide range of premium brands, including Gaerne Off Road Boots, Suomy/KYT Off Road Helmets, Shiro Trials Helmets, Kini clothing, Galfer Brake Pads & Discs, AJP/Braktec accessories, HZ/Neox Goggles, RQF, Clice Clothing, Riga Gomme Mousses, Technomousse, Forcefield Body Armour, Nau Helmets, Domino, Leonelli, Rock Oil & Milwaukee Power Tools.

Throughout the years, they have nurtured a core team of riders, spanning from beginners to elite professionals.
